How did a boy growing up in Texas in the 1950’s become a New York Yankees fan?  This was an entry to a contest sponsored by the New York Yankees in the Spring of 2019. Contest winners got to go on the field to watch the New York Yankees take batting practice during spring training at Steinbrenner Field in Tampa, Florida.
